New and Old Formula Differences

Question: What is the difference between the original oxyelite pro and the new super thermo formula?
(Asked by Mauricio)

Best Answer:

The biggest difference is that the new formula does not have DMAA, or 1,3 Dimethylamylamine HCl in it. To make up for that, there is 35mg more caffeine per pill, as well as added ingredients aegeline and higenamine.

The Quick Choices – Where You’re Located and DMAA

Before getting into the technical stuff, let’s get a few things across that might make it easier for readers:

  1. If you are in a country where DMAA is currently banned, then you have no choice – you’ll need to take the old formula.

  2. If you have taken a DMAA-containing product before and enjoyed it (such as Jack3d original or the standard OxyELITE Pro), then stick with it. I personally love DMAA, and prefer this formulation.

But not everyone likes DMAA. If you know that you don’t like it, then go with the New OxyELITE Pro Formula.

General Recommendation – Which Formula?

As mentioned above, if you’re in the US or another country where DMAA is not banned, I recommend starting with the original formula. Nearly all of the awesome reviews and results on this site are from the original formula, and DMAA is a major part of that.

Technical Differences

So with the removal of DMAA, the main appetite suppressant effect was lost. This is where Aegeline comes in, which is a suppressant at small doses. I’ve been testing Versa-1, which is USPLabs product that contains much higher doses of Aegeline (which they claim makes it anabolic), and I have to say that this stuff is flat out impressive.

Meanwhile, the added higenamine is an incredibly safe thermogenic boost. This is an added ingredient in Jack3d Micro as well, and every time I use it (whether it’s in the new OxyELITE Pro or in Jack3d Micro), I sweat a LOT more. It’s definitely very thermogenic for me.

But, let’s be honest. DMAA is one of the primary rock star stimulants in the original OEP formula, and it’s “energy” is missed. So you now have the extra 35mg added to the new formula. That brings you to 135mg per capsule.

135mg per capsule is fine, but hwen you are ready to up the morning dosage to 2 capsules, that’s where things get a bit crazy. 270mg of caffeine is simply a LOT for some people to handle. Everyone’s caffeine tolerance is different, but this is one thing to watch out for once you’re getting well into your OEP New Formula run. You might not like that much caffeine. (Many people will like it though)

So if you did go with the New Formula route, and were ready to go up to 3 caps per day, it might be better to split doses evenly throughout the day rather than ever knocking down the first two caps as once, even though that’s what the label says you should eventually try doing.

Those are the main differences. Let me know if there’s any follow-on questions.
