OxyELITE Protein – The New Protein Powder that Burns Fat!

USPLabs has announced an incredible new product that we’re extremely excited about – OxyELITE Protein – A great name to match the great OxyELITE Pro fat burner that we all know and love here.

How can a protein powder burn fat?

Two major ways:

  • Use it to replace calories from other fat-storing sources – especially at the right time of the day, such as in the evening.
  • By including ingredients that have been shown to do any of the following:
    • Supress Appetite
    • Increase lipolysis (fat-burning)
    • Increase thermogenesis (energy expenditure to heat)
    • Lower bad cholesterol levels

…all while not including dangerous fat-adding fillers such as trans fats or maltodextrin, and including digestive enzymes for maximum absorption and minimal side effects.

OxyELITE Protein Does All Of This!

And that’s exactly what USPLabs created in their new Oxy Elite Protein, all while remaining completely delicious so that you never have another excuse not to use it!

We’re geeks, here, and it’s all about the ingredients, so let’s get into them:

The OxyELITE Protein Powder Ingredients

All ingredients are listed in order as per the label.

First off, it all starts with the protein. It needs to be high quality and taste good, with as little filler as possible.

The High Quality Protein Blend

OxyELITE Protein

OxyELITE Protein is Here!

This protein has the following breakdown:

Milk Protein Isolate

This protein contains both whey and casein proteins, and is what makes this product taste so good. The “isolate” means that it’s been highly filtered and purified so that the bad stuff like sugars, lactose, and other problem-parts are removed (did you know that ash can be in your protein?) all while keeping the protein.

Milk Protein Isolate is typically thick and tasty, and while it’s not the cheapest stuff, it is well worth it. Since this is the first ingredient, it is the most prevalent one (or has the same amount of the next one).

Whey Protein Concentrate 80%

Whey protein is the faster-digesting type of whey derived from cow’s milk. The key here is the 80% — this is the better quality of the whey protein concentrates, and is a more “dense” type of whey that does not have as much sugar or carbs.

If your whey protein doesn’t mention what percentage it is, there’s a good chance that it’s far lower than 80% — possibly as bad as 30% — and that means more nonsense has made it into your protein and thus into your body.

Micellar Casein

As opposed to whey protein, casein is the slower-digesting type of protein that is extremely filling and great to take before bed. Casein will give you a slower, more “time-released” style of amino acid output as your stomach breaks down the protein.

Casein adds more thickness and texture to the protein, whereas whey mixes much thinner.

With the above two types of protein, you get a fantastic-mixing, smooth yet thick shake that will fill you up.

The OxyELITE Pro Ingredients

The Official OxyELITE Pro Ingredients

This is the new ingredient in OxyELITE Protein that USPLabs is introducing that is not in other proteins (until it gets copied by every other company).

This soluble fiber has been long used as a sugar substitute and “baking agent” as far back as 1981 in US, yet was only recently approved in Canada as a healthy fiber after extensive testing.

While it helps with the taste, what we’re most interested in are polydextrose’s appetite suppression capabilities. An interesting study showed that subjects were given some polydextrose with their lunch, replacing some calories. Not only did they feel full (more satiety), they did not replace those calories later in the day. This is what makes it so much better than other types of fiber, where users tend to “catch up” without even knowing it.

Like other fibers, in high dosages, this can be used as mild laxative. But don’t worry – there’s not even close to enough to do that here. You’re just getting the benefits of a bit of extra fiber, appetite suppression, and the amazing taste-enhancing effects!

The Rapid Burn Lipid Complex

All over this site, we have preached that you should not fear the healthy, natural types of fat. In fact, some of these fats have been shown to actually burn fat, and we have the data to prove it.

We’ve preached two of these ingredients on this site already, so we’re extremely excited that USPLabs agreed with us and decided to put them into the product.

Not all fat is bad!

High Oleic Sunflower Oil

It’s the high oleic part that we’re happiest with here. This is the type of oil that has been shown to improve triglyceride levels and lower LDL cholesterol — the bad type of cholesterol.

This is a great source of a monounsaturated fat, which most people do not get enough of in Western diets. Quality nuts are often the best sources.

Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs)

MCTs are very unique fatty acid chains that don’t really behave like other fats. Here’s how they’re unique:

  • They’re actually 8.3 calories per gram, rather than 9 calories like other fat molecules
  • They’re not stored as fat — They’re actually metabolized more like carbs, and very quickly converted for energy in the muscle.
  • They enhance thermogenis and promote fat burning from within

The second bullet point makes them incredible to use in the meal prior to workout, which makes OxyELITE Protein great to use prior to workout.

MCT is derived from coconut oil, and is technically a saturated fat. These are the good, natural saturated fats, and coconut oil has even more benefits not discussed here.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)

Oxy Elite Protein Recipes

It already tastes amazing, but you can make even more incredible recipes with it!

We’ve discussed this all over this site, and there are numerous studies showing that it is another “fat that burns fat”.

CLA is typically found in the higher quality cuts of beef and the dairy that is obtained from them. By high quality, we mean grass-fed, grass-finished beef – something most Westerners don’t touch in a lifetime.

Most studies have been done on obese subjects, but the general consensus is that CLA reduces bodyfat while maintaining bodyweight — This essentially means that it helps improve muscle tone.

We’re not huge fans of the term “weight loss” on this site — we’re more interested in overall health and body image. Your weight doesn’t matter as much as your bodyfat percentage – and CLA helps with that.

The Digestive Enzymes

While it’s included in the fatty acid ingredient mix, they’re not really fats. But they’re definitely necessary to make this protein work for everyone with limited side effects.

This enzyme is found in your saliva, and it helps break starches down to sugars.

Amylase is the first enzyme that begins the digestive process, and is critical to energy production. In the pancreas, it’s used to hydrolyse starches to glucose so that you get that energy.

There is some lactose in the whey protein concentrate listed above. Those who are lactose intolerant do not do well with whey concentrate, due to their inability to product the lactase enzyme, which helps process lactose.

So USPLabs decided to include it. If you’re familiar with Lactaid brand milk, it’s essentially milk with extra lactase. Not all humans have the lactase enzyme, but ingesting it with lactose helps significantly.

The Flavor System

After that, you have the flavors. If this were the chocolate flavor, you’d see the cocoa listed higher up.

But after the fatty acid blend, there’s the following:

  • Natural and Artificial Flavors
  • Soy Lecithin
  • Guar Gum
  • Salt
  • Sucralose
  • Acesulfame Potassium

Needless to say, this mixture, as well as the aforementioned cocoa and polydextrose, is absolutely fantastic. You can see it from the reviews below!

Any Side Effects?

Here’s the greatest thing – not a single person has reported gas, indigestion, or anything!

The reason is because the digestive enzymes added above will help with anyone who may have had any sensitivity.

Meanwhile, the polydextrose ingredient, while new, has not affected anyone negatively. It was approved in Health Canada after nearly 30 years of waiting for trials – and each one states that it is safe!

Casein Allergies

The biggest problem that you might have is if you have an extreme casein allergy. In that case, you already know this, and you know that you need to stay away from anything with casein protein in it. Very few have this, but it’s rough when you do. If you’re able to read this, you’d know if you had it.
