Sleek & Sexy Sweet Spot: The amount of time, energy and money women invest to feel good about themselves, how we look, feel and move in the world, a.k.a. our feel-good factor.
I couldn’t even begin to put a pricetag on it, as it includes clothing, make-up, jewelry, plastic surgery and enhancements, hair, nail and spa treatments, diet and fat loss supplements, fitness memberships, trainers… and the list goes on and on and on…
So how exactly do you find your ever-elusive Sleek & Sexy Sweet Spot, what exactly am I talking about, and why are we chasing it so damn hard?
There is a certain degree of confidence, energy and magnetism that a woman arrives at when she feels on the top of her game. She feels attractive, together and in the flow. The times it happens are few and far between as our emotions need to be just right, we can’t be bloated or tired, stressed or distracted. Basically, we need to feel like a million bucks on the inside and out. I’m quite sure that some women have never experienced this state – ever. We are so hard on ourselves that we don’t even know how to find our Sleek & Sexy Sweet Spot (aka “S4”). As a result, there are a lot of broken marriages and failed relationships. We mistakeningly tell ourselves and our mates that we are no longer attracted to them when in all honesty most times we are no longer attracted to ourselves.

The purpose of this article is to share with you how to find your S4. It is crucially important to our relationships with ourselves and others to do so. After working closely with hundreds of women over the past 12 years as a lifestyle expert and performance coach, I feel that I can shed a little light for you on this topic.
Your S4 is not a destination but a process. And as soon as you are partaking in this process, your S4 degree (think temperature or feel-good factor not necessarily how others see you, but how you see yourself) begins to increase. Let me give you an example. Generally speaking, most women I work with have about 30 pounds to lose. 30 pounds is the number they quote to me during our initial consultation to describe the ‘destination’ they want to arrive at and the point in time when they project they’ll feel better about themselves. [Note: What they don’t realize is that they are actually requesting my help to help their S4. They’ve defined it as a number but it’s actually about so much more.]
Most times when I start with a new client, I’ll ask her to think back to a time when she looked and felt her best ~ totally comfortable in her own skin. Better yet, I ask her to bring in a photo. There a few reasons that I do this:
I want to remind her of a point in time when she was experiencing her S4. She did it once, she can do it again.
I want to discuss what she was doing and what was going on in her life at that time, how things are different now, how they are the same, and how we work with all of this.
Finally and most importantly, I have a conversation with her to encourage the feeling she owned at the time of the photo. Remember this feeling is key!
And so the journey begins. We lay out a plan to work towards her S4 (aka her ‘ideal bodyweight’ if she’s not ready to accept my full-on explanation). We work the plan… and we keep working it, and working it, and working it. As the days of consistent clean-eating and exercise pass, the bloat-factor decreases (as it always does), energy increases, and steps towards the coveted S4 are made. As soon as she realizes her progress and masters the process, the Sleek & Sexy Sweet Spot is hers to passionately, confidently – and honestly quite simply – own!
